Romances
Three of them: Anca, Crake and Lacra. One run is enough for all three.
Coen can be involved with three people, and pursuing one does not close the others. The limit is not the game's rules. It is the thirty days, because each romance runs through a questline and a questline is what spends time segments.
So the real question is not who you can romance. It is how much of the month you are willing to give to each one, and that is a budgeting question rather than a relationship one.
Anca
Witch of the valley. Full profile.
Anca is where the game starts you. She is the herbalist of Laslea, she taught Coen to read, and the prologue gives you a choice about whether to stay with her or go. That choice is the first move in her romance, which is why players who treat the prologue as a tutorial can walk past the whole thing.
Her path is also the one most bound up in Witchcraft. Hexes are cut into Coen's skin and paid for in health, and Anca is one of the people who can teach him what that costs.
The questline
6 quests, in the game's own titles.
What it asks of you
Reported by players, not yet confirmed against the game's data.
- Spend time with her rather than only collecting her quests.
- Take the flirting option at the moments it appears.
- Let her use the Font of Life.
- Say how you feel, at the inn.
Crake
Leader of the manumits. Full profile.
Crake is an alias. The journal says the manumits guard their leader's identity better than anything else they have, and some people in the valley doubt the man exists. He is Marat, and Coen can ask him to his face why anyone calls him Crake.
His romance is the one you are most likely to reach by accident, because his questline is the main story's middle act rather than a side thread. It is also the one behind the ending called The Knyazmaker.
The game does not gate this behind a setting. Coen's own line in these scenes is that it is not that he is not attracted to women, it depends on the person. There is no orientation option anywhere in the game's 76 settings, and the dialogue is the whole of it.
The questline
8 quests, in the game's own titles.

- Train with him on the mountainside.
- Answer supportively when he talks about his past.
Lacra
Vrakhir. Full profile.
Lacra came to Vale Sangora for the same corpse Coen wants. She is the closest thing he has to a peer: someone who understands the night half of him without needing it explained.
Her romance is the one that asks you to be what you are rather than to hold it back. It also changes where the month ends, because finishing alongside her leads somewhere different from finishing alongside the rebellion.
The questline
5 quests, in the game's own titles.
