Controls

Every action the game binds, in its own words. 46 of them, from Attack to Toggle Quickslots.

What you can rebind

The answer is different for a keyboard and for a controller, and the menu puts the two on separate tabs.

Keyboard and mouse: every action, one at a time

The Controls tab lists the bindings under Abilities, Combat, General, Movement, Photo Mode and Shortcuts. Pick a row and the game asks you to press a key for it. It also checks your work on the way out: leave an important action with no key and it stops you with a Missing Bindings warning. A Reset Page to Default button puts one page back.

Controller: two presets, and no per-button remapping

There is no way to move a single action onto a different button. The Controller tab offers one Preset dropdown with two entries in it, Default and Alternative, and the DualSense controller gets its own preset row on PlayStation. Everything else a gamepad player can change sits on the Controls tab: Controller Sensitivity, Invert Horizontal Axis, Invert Vertical Axis and Vibrations.

This is a claim about the whole menu rather than about the part we looked at. All 76 options are on the settings page, and none of them remaps a button.

What to do in the meantime

Every platform can remap a controller outside the game, and the game cannot tell. On PC, Steam Input builds a per-game controller layout. On PlayStation 5, Settings, then Accessibility, then Controllers holds Custom Button Assignment. On Xbox, the Xbox Accessories app saves a layout onto the pad itself.

Two costs come with all three. The game keeps drawing the original button in its prompts, so a tutorial that says press one button now means another. And the layout belongs to you rather than to the game, so nothing on this site can tell you what it is. That is the reason this page names actions instead of buttons.
