The three skill trees, and how a day-night build splits

Swordmastery works in both forms. Witchcraft is daylight only. Vampiric Abilities are night only. Everything follows from that.

There are three trees, and the thing that shapes every build is not what they contain but when they work.

Swordmastery works in both forms

This is the spine. It is the only tree available to Coen as a man and as a vrakhir, so points spent here are never idle. Its techniques are gated behind manuals rather than pure level, which means the tree advances at the rate you find books and pay the time to read them.

Witchcraft is the day answer

Hexes are cut into Coen's skin as runes and paid for in health. Burning Blood, Compel Soul and Mercurial Fervour are the confirmed ones, and Mercurial Fervour matters twice over because it doubles as the day form's fast travel.

Vampiric Abilities are the night answer

These unlock as Corruption rises rather than purely on level, so the night tree is entangled with the feeding system rather than sitting beside it. Shadowstep and Planeshift are movement, Focus is senses, Piercing Shriek and Charge are control, and a perk further down turns Coen into a wolf.

Abilities, Perks and points

Abilities are active and take a slot. Perks are passive. Both cost Skill Points earned by levelling, and the level cap runs to at least 50. Respeccing exists, so an early commitment is not permanent.

The practical shape most players land on is Swordmastery plus one specialization, because splitting evenly across the two form-locked trees means being mediocre for the whole twenty-four hours instead of strong for twelve.
