Something strange is happening to the weather. Summers are not as warm as they used to be. In the mountains, glaciers seem to be moving faster and passes become impenetrable earlier and earlier in the year. Rains ruin crops every other year, and the orchards give less and less fruit.
Is our sun fading? Is this yet another sign – following endless wars, strife and the plague – that the end is near? Let us all pray to the Father above to either save us from misery, or ensure that our suffering is brief and we may be deemed worthy of joining him in his eternal domain.
