It was magic that saved him. When the Battle of Arfderydd was over and his master was killed, the bard ran into the forest. The echoes of death followed him and broke his mind. For the first time in his life, he couldn’t hear the music. Every note and sound had soured. He would’ve died on that day, with a shattered heart. But magic found him – and later he learned to wield it like no other.
