Your Sword, part 2

It’s not about using my sword to kill. Yes, that's one of its purposes, it was made to harm others, there’s no way around that. But it’s also meant to protect people. And in some situations it is in fact a tool that helps prevent violence. There were so many times when a conflict seemed all but inevitable. Yet when the potential aggressors noticed me placing my hand on the hilt of my sword, they decided it was wiser to back off. Of course, it was only once I'd made a reputation for myself, and in the process bloodied my blade many, many times.
