Since the Devil never rests and loves confusing us, here is a list of practices that a Christian must renounce:
- Using charms or amulets – which are not the same as holy relics, mind you!
- Practising fortune telling, like searching for omens in the clouds or in the bones of dead animals
- Seeking help from people rumoured to be witches – they may claim they are just giving you herbs, but who knows!
- Interpreting symbols you saw in your dreams – the saints have visions sent by God, yes, but the Devil often pretends to be someone he is not
- Praying to the saints is fine, but never to spirits, ghosts, or other beings
- Believing in necromancy and resurrecting the dead (except, of course, for the resurrection of Jesus).
There are many temptations along our way, but we must prevail – for only those who are pure will find eternal peace in Heaven.
