The Guilds's Charter of 1336

Issued by Knyaz Skender Dragosti.

It is hereby declared that – in accordance with a common practice established in all major European cities – all traders and artisans who wish to either produce their goods in Svartrau, sell their goods in the city, or export goods produced in the city to other cities, are required to be members of a guild specialising in a given field.

The guilds shall be established and organised in the following manner:

1. First, the knyaz shall grant chosen traders and artisans the rank of a master in their field.

2. Said masters shall then establish their workshops or offices.

3. Next, they shall recruit their apprentices, in numbers no larger than allowed by the knyaz's patent.

4. After completing six years of training, an apprentice shall be granted the rank of a journeyman.

5. A master's title shall be granted to candidates who have completed a three-year period of journeymanship and – in the case of artisans – presented a piece of work confirming their skills and approved by their master.

6. After the first journeyman in a given guild is granted the title of master, their master becomes the grandmaster of said guild.

The aforementioned rules have been established to ensure the highest quality of goods produced in and exported from Svartrau. It is forbidden for any artisan or trader to operate in or from Svartrau, unless they are members of an appropriate guild. Failure to comply shall be punished.

From the game's own loot tables and the inventories its characters carry. A percentage is the highest spawn chance recorded for this item; a row without one always carries it.
