The leeches want us to think they're gods. But gods are not repelled by silver. Diseases are. Gods do not fear the light of the sun. Worms and spiders do. That's what these leeches are. They reject all that's good and embrace everything that's dark, sick and corrupted.
And their might is an illusion. They're plated gold, a shadow on the wall. Come closer, draw the curtains, let the sun in. Pierce them with a silver dagger. And they'll be gone.
