It grieves me to report that I recently discovered treachery has taken root under my own roof. My wife has betrayed both our household and the law. She has clung to the old faith by harbouring a hidden Christian altar. I swear I did not know about her actions, but I have evidence that she conspired with a man named Grozav in secret. I urge you to investigate this matter and bring them both to justice.
Also, I want to emphasise that I denounce my wife, not out of spite but out of duty. May her punishment be just and swift.
