This contract was agreed upon by Knyaz Brencis, the sole and rightful ruler of Vale Sangora, and Gisko von Teschen of Bohemia, in Anno Domini 1349, in the presence of witnesses signed below, and stipulates what follows:
Gisko of Teschen is to track down and fell Coen of Laslea, son of Pieter, the most despicable ruffian and enemy of the good people of Vale Sangora. He is a vrakhir with no regard for fair deals and peaceful coexistence with humans. He preys on the lonely and the weak and drains their bodies dry, refusing to accept the voluntarily and safely procured blood Knyaz Brencis’s court sustains on.
Gisko shan't rest, or undertake other obligations, until this is accomplished.
Upon presenting proof of the deed, namely the villain's severed head, Knyaz Brencis solemnly vows to reward him thusly:
– Gisko of Teschen shall receive every help in removing the curse cast upon his betrothed, Osterhild of Buda, presently suffering from possession by a demonic entity of unknown provenance. After that, they will be given free passage out of Vale Sangora.
May God the Almighty, watching from the red skies beyond, strike either party dead shall it break any of the above commitments.
