Desperate times really do push a man to make surprising choices. The ruins my flock discovered are clearly of pagan origin. I can only imagine the depraved rites that were held here in the past… But if I must now scour this place in order to find a way to defeat the Adversary – so be it.
Danos and his brave men were able to explore some parts of this maze. Many of them did not return from the abyss… except for one. Before he died, the man spoke of bloodthirsty shadows and ghosts, just waiting for those foolish enough to disturb their slumber.
But he also confirmed what I already suspected – these ruins were a resting place for ancient pagan warlords. Or maybe I should call them ‘heroes’?
Some of the paintings show a man decked in impressive armour. A champion wearing such protection and blessed by Our Lord could challenge the vrakhiri on equal terms… and finally bring God’s peace back to Vale Sangora.
I'm certain the armour is still out there, in the darkness. Waiting for someone brave enough to claim it.
I shall wait, too. And pray for a worthy warrior to be sent forth.
