Lord,
I have contemplated this for a long time, and I see no other way to escape these dreadful creatures. There is no life for us under their rule. They would bleed my family dry.
So, O Lord, forgive me for what I must do.
Tonight, I will set us all free. First the children, then my wife, and at last myself.
When their goons come tomorrow to drag us to the Mass, let them find only silence – and may that silence reach You as my final prayer.
