Accident report
(to be delivered to the captain – immediately!)
Last Thursday, soldier Anton of Parlita, age 19, was on duty, helping the dig site workers load crates onto a cart.
When one of the workers accidentally dropped a crate, a strange object – a figurine resembling a snake – fell out. According to Anton's account, the workers immediately looked away, but he didn't.
Right after looking at the figurine, he started feeling dizzy and fell on the ground, hurting his head, but was otherwise fine. The workers then put the figurine back into the crate, placed the crate on the cart and it seemed like things went back to normal.
But the next morning Anton started shaking like a drunk, claimed he'd had "dreams about a monster devouring the world", and generally behaved kind of like a crazy person. When I ordered him to get back to his duties, he shouted: "I'd rather eat my own shit than go back to that dig site!".
Then he tried to attack me with a knife and ran off into the woods. As of now, we still haven't found him.
