I took it upon myself to make a list of the supplies we have left:
bread – ten loaves
clean water – two barrels
salted pork – about six pounds
vegetables – two baskets; there were three, but someone left one in the damp cellar and it rotted
As you can see, there’s not much. With all the people we let in, we will run out of supplies in three, four days. Maybe a week if we really limit the rations. I’m not including the list of medicine, because there is simply none left.
If Saint Tyna doesn’t answer our prayers soon, I don’t think we will last long.
