I believe that God chose you for something grander than whatever ill-intentioned scheme you’re currently involved in. A man of your skills, of your knack for getting things done – no, I simply cannot let you go to waste.
So once again I beseech you – find me in the Cathedral and let us finally put your mind to a task that will serve a better purpose.
You might deem it wise to say "no" again. But I urge you to consider your options carefully. Remember – I know all your secrets. I know about the small misdeeds, as well as your greater sins. Things you haven’t told your beloved wife. Things that would make your children forsake their father. Don’t you wish to absolve yourself of these acts by carrying out God’s work?
