1. Mix a pint of fresh pig's blood with three cups of water. Add a quart of vinegar and a pinch of salt, otherwise the blood will clot.
2. Heat up two large spoons of lard in a pot. You may also add some garlic.
3. Add the blood mixture. Heat the soup, but be careful not to let it boil.
4. Simmer it for several minutes. Remember to stir from time to time.
5. When the soup is almost ready, you may want to season it (if you have never tried blood soup before, this step is highly recommended).
