Rodrig speaks four words in the opening cinematic and they place him exactly. The vrakhir who has run Coen down turns to him and asks whether an exception was made for children. Rodrig answers: "No, sire."

That is the whole of what the game has shown of him so far. It is enough to say he serves the court rather than the valley, which is why he is filed here rather than among Coen's allies.
