Premysl is deeply religious. He has always taken the teachings of the Church to heart, maybe even more so than the priests who used to preach them. I imagine that every day under Brencis's rule must be torture for him. Normally, he tries to hold back, but every now and then he'll say something about 'blasphemy' and us being 'lambs ready for the slaughter' – which only adds to the tension between him and the more conciliatory of us.
