Ocha
Daughter of clan Bakr's matriarch, and an uriash who would rather brawl than inherit.
Most uriashi keep to the high mountains. Ocha's family is among those who settled among humans instead, which puts her between the two worlds rather than in either one.
Her mother wants her to succeed as matriarch of clan Bakr. Ocha is not interested. She is strong even by the standards of her own people, and she is a poor judge of who to trust, which is a bad pair of traits to carry into Svartrau.
That combination lands her in debt to Andrei, who runs the city's underworld. It is the one problem she cannot solve by hitting it, and it is where Coen meets her.
From Coen's journal
Most uriashi still live high in the mountains, but some chose to settle among humans. One of them is Bakr-Ocha, the daughter of clan Bakr's matriarch. Her mother wants Ocha to be her successor, but she doesn't seem interested.
Ocha is strong, even for an uriash, and enjoys brawling. But – unsurprisingly – she isn't very good at reading people. She quickly got herself mixed up in some shady business with Andrei, the boss of Svartrau's underworld. And she can't just punch her way out this time.
